New month, new kit! Posted by Dani Alencar on July 2nd, 2009

I haven’t been around in June, haven’t created much too. But today I’m here to tell you I have a new kit. Do you remember the FPD Designer Contest called Capture the Flag? Some of my friends decided to try it and they called me to try to. I was not in the mood to a contest but I said Ok. I only did the first mini kit and then gave up. I was totally not inspired. Here’s my mini kit and you can get it for free yet, click on the image to download it.

Since I love this color pallete and the theme (I’m romantic) I decided to create a full kit to go with this one. It’s gonna be released soon @ GoDigitals.

Leave a comment saying how many papers and elements (alpha not included) you think it includes and who gets closer to the right amount will win the kit. Deadline: July,5.

Scrap Orchard Honey Bee Contest Posted by Dani Alencar on June 26th, 2009

I was a member of Scrap Orchard Creative Team, but they decided to make some changes in the store and forum and started a new contest to make another Creative Team. There are also ten new designers to the store… They are shaking the place!

Well, since I love this CT, it’s one of my favorites (I never block to create with their stuff) I decided to give it a try, I’m not sure if I’ll win my spot back but I don’t want feel I haven’t tried. The contest has 4 weeks and we need to create 1 layout a week using a Collab created by Scrap Orchard Designers. We had 2 weeks already. Here are my layouts:

The kit for the week one was a beach/summer kit. Take a look:

And I went totally different from the theme of the kit.

I’m having a lot of fun with this.

I’m hosting the Bring it! Challenge this month @ Scrap Ochard. I got inspired when I was watching a TV program about music on MTV Brasil and they have shown a video clip of Elvis Presley and I tought "why not get inspired by the King?"

So I wanna see A Little Less Conversation and a Little More Action.

A Little Less Conversation…
I’m addicted to journaling so I decided this will be very challenging for me. (LOL) You have to tell your story with no journaling. You can add a title and dates for sure, but no stories. Your photos along the title need to tell the story.

…A Little More Action
You must include more than 3 photos. It’s nice if they are a sequence to tell the story, but it’s up to you. Well, I told you it would be challenging for me… this page take me hours but here it is:

I have used the gorgeous In the Garden Kit by Ziggle Designs, it’s a garden/spring kit but it went so well with the fun and playful memory.
